The USB RC/FlightController is powered directly from the PC. You do not need any batteries for the controller and you do not need to charge the batteries. The controller is delivered with the throttle on the left (Mode 2 or Mode 4) and can be converted to the throttle on the right (Mode 1 or Mode 3) using the enclosed instructions.
